It is focused on the development of therapeutics that target lipid-signaling pathways, including the endocannabinoid system (ECS), a family of receptors and neurotransmitters that form a biochemical communication network throughout the body. Its second program ART26.12, is a small molecule lead product candidate from its platform of inhibitors of fatty acid binding proteins, notably Fatty Acid Binding Protein 5 (FABP5), which is undergoing pre-clinical research as a potential cancer therapeutic, for pain and inflammation, and in anxiety-related disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder. In addition, the Company is also developing ART12.11 (CBD cocrystal), a solid-state composition of cannabidiol (CBD).
