This was on national news the day it happened so you may have already known about this recent cougar attack near Rocky Mtn House which is an hour driver west of Red Deer. It was a predatory attack with intent to kill and take away the little boy – very rare and unusual for a perfectly healthy young cougar. Usually these attacks are made by sick and starving cougars who become very desperate to survive. The boy looks much better now – you should have seen what he looked like the day he got all his surgery done. By missing his eyes, and his vital blood vessels and not piercing his skull – this boy sure lucked out.
