Solar is Awesome

I use solar in Alberta and it is awesome. When the tech on clear solar panels catches up, I will seriously drive to have them installed on my house as windows. Few people actually realize how fast this tech is moving. Come on Alberta NDP, let me go 100% renewable, this coal BS is killing us. For once lets put the peoples health first, corporate market share 2nd. The economy will thrive if you release the transition. I will pump 10s of thousands in renewables into my home if you help me with a little tweaking.

Its easy to be in favour of natural gas over coal when nat gas sells for barely over $2 per btu but the choices were not so compelling when we were looking at nat gas prices over $10. I think the changeover price is at about $4 for nat gas. Keystone XL is such a dud. What is the purpose of getting even more oil into an already flooded market. Canada needs to get their oil to a port so they can get ...more

bob4977; It is true that ir is easier to switch when gas is $2.  The $10 you referred to goes back 6 or 7 years I think. The point here is that gas is available in Alberta  and Albertans do not have right to massively pollute the earth.  The direct price is that USA and BC and maybe eastern provinces will give thumbs down to pipelines. Alberta needs to switch to natural gas ($2 ...more
