The Company is focused on investing in a diversified, risk-adjusted portfolio of residential mortgage-related assets in the United States mortgage market. The Company's objective is to provide attractive risk-adjusted returns to its stockholders over the long-term, primarily through dividends and capital appreciation. The Company's investment portfolio includes Residential Investments and Agency residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS). Its residential investments primarily consist of newly originated Non-Agency Loans and Agency-Eligible Loans. In addition to its Residential Investments, the Company also invests in other types of residential mortgage loans and other mortgage related assets. Its investment portfolio also includes Re/Non-Performing Loans, Land Related Financing and Agency RMBS. Agency RMBS represent interests in pools of residential mortgage loans guaranteed by a GSE.
