Uncle Eric weekly wrap-up 23 Aug 2019Uncle Eric was back after his fishing trip up north (looked like he caught some big fish and had a good time). He was talking about retails coming back for physical gold. Russia and India are sitll buying gold. Marginal gold companies would do well if PoG keeps on rising. WM stepped up drilling at Fenelon, but he did not mention a word on RNX (purposely?) since this is one of the companies that would go ballistic if PoG keeps on rising. May be he has the profit margin alraedy calculated but did not bother to tell anyone, yet.
It's interesting to note that on slide 9 (pdf) of the 21 August Corp Presentation, the new management has rounded the holdings of the 2 major shareholders, instead of 10.23% and 8.6% for Westgold and ES, they were listed as 10% and 9% (and 6% for Van Eck) which looks better for ES (onle 1% difference). May be I am reading too much into this, but people have ego...and it would not take much effort to overtake Westgold. Uncle Eric is just waiting for the right moment.
