And anybody listening to that call who thinks that AC still wants to close TRZ is using a different ear filter.    Imo, not a chance .   They will use any escape clause.   Right now, and rightly so, preserve any and all liquidity.   Even if it means things tied up in court.

  From what I've read and heard from Calin things are going exactly as predicted.   Older airplanes gone.  A190 gone ( hate that airplane ). more A220.  Less direct flights.  More yyz connections. No middle seats.  Lots of bin space. Longer turn times mean less delayed flights.  As for Transat.  I've always been on the fence with that one from ...more

Some good points.  I think you are right re: break fee.   and yes, anything Quebec related always has a political element, so govt May make it happen (albeit not at $18 lol).   The welfare provided to Bombardier was downright criminal.  Taxpayers were fleeced.    the easiest thing for Calin and AC is For it not to happen.   They don't need more ...more

A330s and some (don't know how many) A321s and A321Neos. Good points.   It appears that there will be no lack of available aircraft at good rates, as bankruptcies, fleet reductions and pressure on lessors intensify .   as for TRZ, The QC govt will also want promises of job retention if they fork over some $$$ for this deal.  Path of least resistance for AC is no deal and adjust fleet as required in what is a buyers market over next ...more
