RE:Almonty plans top tungsten production outside China
  • This is AWESOME !!!... Thanks for the Find TechOne !!!

  • So we have a 1 year build and 6 months to run tests to ensure everything is functioning correctly. At the end of the 1.5 years, if I am interpreting this correctly, we should be at half capacity.
  • Another 12 months is required to ramp up to double capacity i.e. Q1 2025.
  • In my opinion, the WO3 plant is needed by 2027-28, i.e. before the semiconductor industries require it.  The process of how to recycle is has to be defined and created.

  • Recycling:
LB:  25% of our output in South Korea will be scraped sourced.
  • 25% of ouput from Sangdong will come from recycling! That is huge!!! Not sure what the profit margins on that would be, but has to be 10%-20%....hopefully more. I really would like to know what our margins are on recycling.

  • Moly:  I think we will have to be a few years in production before we will be extracting Moly.  I would think 2027-2028 is a questimate timeframe of when that will be seriously working on getting it to production.  5ilver, can you give us a synopsis of what is required and how much work it would take to get Moly to production
  • Moly downstream processing discussions......AWESOME!!!.....
"We are already in discussion with the government as they will look for that to be downstream for a product that they can use in country," Black revealed.

  • Valtreixal
"We will now push the permitting more aggressively because we have a customer who is very keen to develop as because they can drive to it," declared Black.
.......A customer is pushing LB to get Valtreixal into production asap........AWESOME...... 5ilver, can you offer your insight in how long you think it would take and what steps would be required to get Valtreixal to production. I would imagine this would have to be up and running within 3-5 years. Plus they will be reusing much of equipment from the mine they will be shutting down.
  • I was looking at the more recent Investor Presentation (Pg 23) and I am trying to figure out what our profits are with Valtreixal. Valtreixal is at least a 20 year mine but the presenation only shows 5 years of output.  Why is that?  Is more work required for Valtreixal which will translate into more time to get the mine up an running?  We need LB to provide more clarity on Valtreixal and when do we plan to have it in  production.   If I were to take the presentation as gospel, then it is scheduled to be in production in 2024.

  • North American Mine: Sometime around 2027-28, we have to be in the process of building our new mine. I am guessing the mine would be in production by 2033-34.  I presume the US would be expediting this, otherwise they will loose ground to China's Semiconductor business and for that matter, the rest of the world.
