RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Portfolio insuranceHey Sarge!
Always a pleasure to exchange communications with you! I have enjoyed reading your many transparent observations in recent years, and look forward to many more to come!
Yes, we are similar in our buy-and-hold approach. The only exception to our buy-and-hold is when a "dog" falls into a pit (eliminating dividends) and cannot get out of the pit. Better to put that "dog" out of its misery and move on! We also hold most of the same entities as you with a few others added in.
And thanks for your WOW re our portfolio! And a WOW right back at you for the 8,251 thumbs up points you have amassed on StockHouse. I don't know which one of us has been more successful! Joking! Actually, I have been observing the trends on SH and figured out some time ago that our erstwhile compatriot Trevor has been resurrecting himself in multiple aliases every time SH ejects him; he uses each of these multiple personalities to award the others points for some inexplicable reason - so you see new names on the forum getting 6 to 10 points for every repost they do. I assume that Trevor has included you in this thumbs up daisy chain. I feel left out - I guess I will have to cry myself to sleep over a portfolio financial statement. LOL!
Cheers old buddy! And long may you continue to post - thumbs up or no!
