aircraft build time? - Maher

aircraft build time? - MaherHi Maher, good post. I agree the ducks appear to be lining up for Bombardier, and this stock has great potential to really roar once they do.

On the other hand, I wouldn't check the news every day just for news of new orders.  But other developments can give you some insight into how management thinks and what direction they intend to take your companies.

Another way to evaluate companies on a subjective level is to look at their suppliers and customers and try to get some handle on how effectively these guys take care of thier businesses.  Is the focus on quality? Are they consistently honest in their dealings? Do they treat small shareholders well? Or do they favour institutional money?

As Warren Buffett puts it:

We should invest in shares the way we'd invest in a small business. Hire good management by investing In people you'd have your son or daughter marry. Then stick with them and let them run the business for you, ie, not jumping in and out trying to time things.
