Boeing starting to bad-mouth C series - Djibc

Boeing starting to bad-mouth C series - DjibcYeah, with respect to that Bombardier may very well experience some challenges and delays with CSeries. It isn't unusual that any new design involve at least a few unancticipated delays.

What's exceptional about the Boeing 787 and to a similar extent the Airbus 380 program, is the unusually high number of problems and delays these programs have had.

A year's delay on a big new program isn't unusual and many observers appear to be factoring in just such a delay for CSeries although we've had absolutely no indications of such a delay and in fact, Bombardier has been announcing milestone accomplishments such as the wingbox asembly and P&W engine testing.

For a large company like Boeing to come out and announce what amounts to "We've had a lot of problems with the 787 so others are going to have problems with their products...is a little disgusting.

That Boeing is so good at underestimating others isn't surprising.

It's that very attitude that makes them vulnerable.
