National Hurricane Center

Worried those waters in the Gulf are very hot with little activity in June/July....will be am interesting week for shorts

Something to watch...

8 am EDT Aug 6: A tropical wave is forecast to move off the west coast of Africa this weekend. Some gradual development is possible while the system moves westward across the eastern and central tropical Atlantic through the middle part of next week.

Inventory reports last week saved by imports. Rough seas could divert/delay things. Something to watch.

The system is moving very slowly..not much will develop for a week or so.......storm activity in the Atlantic and the Pacific has been calm so far this year.

Yes, was calm due to Azores and Bermuda High merging and preventing any Tropical Wave development. That has given the area/water time to increase heat (hurricanes use energy from the warm waters) With the delay and build in heat (heat is the gas for hurricanes) I worry the delay in activity will cause a bigger issue.  Will see what August and September bring. Will be interesting hurricanes ...more

Of course narrative pushers wont talk about import/export disruptions Far different US system now from the days pre Biden. But as I said earlier in the week will be lots of spin from traders pushing their narratives Will be interesting.  Now back to those newly 500k+ employed people think they are doing anything this weekend or just sitting at home?
