far between, but I am always impressed by those who do have the expertise. Re Ceu and the more productice drilling rigs. To me if these rigs are drilling wells a lot faster they are drilling more feet ...more

I was a Drilling Eng 25 years ago so things may have changed, but in general: 1) Faster drilling does not impact amount of fluid. 2) Longer wells does increase amount of fluid. 3) Invert fluids are ...more

higher volumes are required for faster drilling times, i..e as the drills become moe productive, their is an increse per day required for the drilling fluid. Thus while drilling companies are hurt as ...more
