the streaming model for movies is showing to be a poor source of revenue. WB released all their movies to streaming in 2021 and they made very little money and saw little return from HBO max subs. Hence this year everything is theater only release. While i don't think movies will return to their pre pandemic level for a long time, I do see strong upside in the near future in Cineplex valuation. People have been heavily leaning on VIP and expanded theater experiences which is much higher profit then standard seats. Future business models should expand on full evenings out to maximize profits . Further closing of theaters will regular seating, while upgrading theaters/IMAX is way forward, with higher margin gross per person. Going to see batman in VIP almost everyone was ordering food and alcohol to their seats, it seems if people are going to spend money they want a much fuller experience
