cash dividends in an amount of $0.04583 per Preferred share to yield 5.5% per annum on the $10 repayment amount and to return the $10 repayment amount to their holders on the termination date. Its investment objectives with respect to Class A Shares are to provide holders with regular monthly cash distribution targeted to be $0.10 per Class A share and return the original issue price to their holders on the termination date. The net asset value per unit must remain above the required $15 per unit threshold for distributions to be declared. Its investment manager is Quadravest Capital Management Inc.

Definitely wont be as juicy as FTN or FFn Preffs but I like the capital appreciation this has given me in a fairly safe vehicle where I have liquidity when I see an undervalued opportunity..... GIC

Yes for sure, of all the split fund preferreds i am tracking DFN has the LOWEST yield. Nobrainer that it will go up, but not sure it will be higher yield than FFN or LFE preferreds.... It will

Largest holding within SPLT. I think we Get news on extension and sometime before September we see a re-rate up on preferred yield.

DFN will make the cut.. MFC a major holding
MFC was listed as the 2nd biggest holding in DFN, and likely will be the biggest after the dust settles. Even better fior LFE which was only a few pennies below the threshold for paying before todays

If this a worry/question for you -- you don't know anything about splitshare closed end funds. This Quadravest's biggest fund and as long as it spins off fees to the manager it will be renewed

Andtou I say that because zero interest rate was really bad for the insurance companies and they can make lots of money with 4 or 5%.

NAV Valentine's Day
~$14.89, almost equivalent to MM's number. We are merely ~1.1% below the threshold and Quadravest could decide to use a NAV date early next week, if necessary, to give DFN a chance of paying.
