(NASDAQ and TSX:EGLX), a media and content platform for video game and esports fans, on Tuesday reported a 34% year-on-year increase in revenue to a record $56.9 million for the fourth quarter of 2021, based on preliminary figures.
The company, which at last look surged 13.2% on Nasdaq and jumped 15.9% on the TSX in early Tuesday trading, said the result was driven by a 167% surge in direct sales to $8.8 million.
Enthusiast Gaming said it also benefitted from its ability to acquire assets such as Addicting Games and U.GG, attract and retain paying subscribers, and its flywheel of communities, creators, content, and experiences.
The company will release its 2021 annual financials on March 24.
