Ditto my post over at Uniteds Corp  (UNC)  rate and reply

sorry for late response. travelling. yeah like 6700 or so of each which is a decent clip over course of year but no stopping it falling with market like this. discount narrowing which is to more

lt appears repurchase activity continued at a modestly steady pace throughout June.  rate and reply

Thank you much appreciated.  rate and reply

April end shares o/s were 3,674,000 and suspect they have got another 10k this month (#9 has buyback).  HNR had 2,945,765 as per the annual information form (see note under directors table more

Chuck - what would you think the actual public float sits at currently?  650k?  rate and reply

24k really is a substantial number considering the "actual" public float.  Should be interesting to see what they do in May.  Maybe the day will come this year, who knows! :)  rate and reply

as always EVT buyback less active due to limited float. it was ELF's buyback was referring to. got 8200 in march and a whopping 16200 in april.  they are getting more daily as more

At this point it may just be the two of us left! Thanks for the update - I appreciate it.  I hadn't looked at buyback activity ( I should have ) as it slowed down.  Today i thought more

thor, not too many of us left judging by lack of activity on various boards. NCIB has been more active than anytime since spring 2020 when maxed out that year after slow start, they got 8k+ more

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:EVT Annual Distribution

Ain't that the truth.... :) ELF is the endgame, EVT just a piece of the puzzle.  Should be a great story to look back on one day.  rate and reply

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:EVT Annual Distribution

you mean +/- 5 years. we are on ELF time! do believe when it occurs, will be a share exchange so unless there is a cash component for minority, won't be quite the $300NAV one might hope more

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:EVT Annual Distribution

Just figure out the exact date and time it will be taken private and we are good :)  rate and reply

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:EVT Annual Distribution

the definition of "net investment income" includes realized capital gains so would seem they had some realized gains above and beyond dividend income. spend most of my time modelling ELF more

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:EVT Annual Distribution

yeah, definitely higher than i expected, which is nice. will await the financials to see where the extra net investment income came from. reads as though it was all generated in 2021 as opposed more

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:EVT Annual Distribution

It looks like we met in the middle.  Thank you for compromising :) Assuming nothing else exciting happens 2022, reconvene same place same time next year?  rate and reply

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:EVT Annual Distribution

actually my approach overly complicates matters. far simpler to just read financials... 2020 they earned 34.7mm of divs and paid out 29mm ($1.2/sh recurring and the $4 special - taxes being more

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:EVT Annual Distribution

worth noting that no reason they couldn't pay out more than just the divs received. after all ELF paid a large special from gains, not divs given EVT at nearly a 60% discount to true ELF more
