RE:RE:RE:RE:My Local Economy Appears Strong! Strange :-)

Isn't that 180% of household income? So they would be able to pay it off in 2 years if they have 0 expenses which is unlikely. I doubt most households have even 10% of their income more

RE:RE:RE:RE:My Local Economy Appears Strong! Strange :-)

While retirees may be in decent shape, I think many still working towards retirement are struggling. Not calling for a depression but prolonged stagflation will set back consumers countrywide. I' more

RE:RE:RE:My Local Economy Appears Strong! Strange :-)

Using your link for Household debt / Disposable Income, looks like 25 year plot goes from 100% to 180% over 25 years.  While a tad high for my personal taste, I would of assumed it to be more

RE:RE:My Local Economy Appears Strong! Strange :-)

So true. There is a real psychological foundation for inflation. People behave LIKE PRICES WILL RISE so it is a self fulfuilling prophecy. In my days I saw plenty of people ask...what will prices more

RE:My Local Economy Appears Strong! Strange :-)

My Local Economy Appears Strong! Strange :-)

Been raising cash last couple weeks, sold 1/3 of my peyto and a bit more of my Suncor.  I basically sold to the sleeping point.  After watching the evening news, and being told the world more

$110 oil much better than $120 oil, sub $100 is best

I'm still cheering for $90 oil. Will take time. Range of $80-90 oil works best for everyone, especially hotel and casino guests. Not likely to see $80 oil unless we land in extended recession. more

RE:Opportunity, Or Not

I think we were all happily in at much lower prices so your pool acb I expect says you are in the green...and collecting a nice dividend every month ???. Congrats on the scoop  rate and reply

RE:Opportunity, Or Not

If we were discussing BC or ON casinos, I'd say higher risk right now. AB casinos will perform moderately well during periods of elevated energy prices. Bridge is buying while others are in panic.  rate and reply

Opportunity, Or Not

Although there might be more to come, at least the last two days have provided an opportunity to snag a few more shares at a discount. Risk provides opportunities that hopefully bear fruit.  rate and reply
