Pembina Pipeline Corp (Pembina) is a Canada-based energy transportation and midstream service provider. Pembina owns an integrated network of hydrocarbon liquids and natural gas pipelines, gas gathering and processing facilities, oil and natural gas liquids infrastructure and logistics services, and an export terminals business. It operates through three segments: Pipelines, Facilities and Marketing & New Ventures. The Pipelines segment provides customers with pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage and rail services in key market hubs in Canada and the United States for crude oil, condensate, natural gas liquids and natural gas. I like the dividend increase, the share buy back addition and debt reduction... But I don't understand who is paying us.

We we seem to have started with what seems a smaller share of these assets and are ending with a larger share and getting paid to take more, I don't fully understand how or why. I'm sure it's simple but I'm a little boggled by the maths here on a couple reads.

Is KKR paying us a lump sum to be the operator and giving us a larger share so it runs effectively in our system? I would have thought that we would have to pay more to gain in this deal.
