RE:RE:WCS $65 bblUSA biult out CAD 500B LNG infrastructure in the last 13 years with no material customers. They needed EU as customer and now have them bent over the barrell.
Sadly, with EU steel plants shutting down there is no way Canada can catch this wave. 2027 for a small phase 1 LNG train is nothing.
Everyone one wants 20-30 year LNG purchase deals guaranteed by the state and gold deposits to lify a finger since they say how fast the Nazi supporters all break contracts. Even Germans cant buy from Qatar because they wont meet Qatar terms, who also happen tpo have over 100 LNG ships on order for last 3 years.
Alreay 7 EU governments have been kicked out by electorate and by March another 20 could be.
After 100s thousands of Europeans freeze to death this winter EU will be begginf RU to sell them gas in Rubles and they will gladly comply via Norsdstream 2 LOL.
There's a reason Germans will not do 20 year supply deals - they know UA Nazis will be history soon enough (15K fatalities last 7 days alone) and that Germany needs RU gas unless they want to be a thrd world country like Canada exporting beets LOL.

The attached shows that the US started LNG construction( in the modern era) in 2016 and has grown to 14 bcf in 2023. By 2026 they will add another 6 bcf to get to 20 bcf. In Canada LNG was being considered in about 2008. If LNG Canada maintains schedule we will have only 1.8 bcf on line in 2025.
Phase 2 of LNG Canada has still not been officially announced by Shell and its partners but even if they announced it now it probably wouldn't come on line until 2027. So I can understand FWs viewpoint. The Time part is not Shell's doing.
