Sold TVIX for average price of $4.54. Was hoping for more of a push.  Netted profits of +6% and cash profits of $2800.  Might try one more time near lows right now before close. Or I just ...more

Rebought TVIX at $4.28 and lets see if this thing can muster a little push before the close. Just a reminder, this is only a daytrade as I don't want to hold TVIX during split.

Sold TVIX at $4.41 for a small profit of 2%and made just over $1100. A profit is still a profit.  Might rebuy here at lows for another day trade, but don't want to hold this overnight.

Added larger position at the lows this morning. Brings average cost of TVIX to under $4.283. Will be selling TVIX in approriate spots today as I don't really want to hold this during split. Worst ...more

Bought TVIX this morning in a few spots sub $4.40 for average of $4.378. See the markets taking a small breather here before resuming up. Will get out before split or might even hold, depending on ...more

I am shorting TVIX, by shorting TVIX. Not sure if you are actually serious. Can't short in RRSPs or TFSAs and must use a margin account to short stocks/ETFs.

Covered the last 1/4 of my short of TVIX this morning at $4.69.  Was short TVIX at $6.11 on May 29th. Profits of +23% for the final portion. Profit of $1.42/unit x 5000 units gives a profit of ...more

I agree manx.  Never did like holding post split...especially reverse split.  Learning also that tvix  is not so forgiving, like you said, if you don't have a good understanding of ...more

You will have same dollar value or close to it. Point is post split most shares devalue  just a fact. Br patient and wait for opportunities. Only hold overnight when you capture 10% plus profit ...more
