I agree with all your points.  Sadly these white collar types seldom get held accountable for their actions.  Less than 1% ever get prosecuted and less than 1% of those ever are required to provide restitution - and most never do - they just move to the cayman islands (Bre-X anyone).  The various exchanges are either unwilling or unable to to anything (more of the former I suspect).

You are correct - I suspect none of us will see any of our investment back.
