Yes - that's exactly what you do.  Your brokerage firm will indicate that they have been disposed of at zero value and then you can use that as a capital loss to apply against any of your capital gains (are you in any of our oils??) - otherwise you can carry it forward and apply it to a capital gain at some future date (which you can't do if its a capital gain - they let you carry capital losses forwards but not capital gains).

Sadly this appears to be the only thing Cache is good for these days.
