Eh, don't think so. Public healthcare is facing demand/issues. Medi-Call is providing a solution. Really think they can build this and make it something useful. Who wouldn't download an app and subscribe to a telehealth service? I am going to try it out once they release the app for apple ios

Well given that it sounds like it costs $550 for a 3 month subscription - I expect a lot of people won't WANT to subscribe. That being said, the doctor shortage is pretty severe at this point, so people might pay it. They better be providing a far more premium service than some of the other options like Telus though, as I believe that is free?

I'm not sure if Canadian's need to pay the fee if they provide their Personal Health Number when they register. $550/3 is close to the upper range of the Canada Healthcare monthly premium cost. The subscription price may be for non residents.

Considering Medi-Call is catering to Vancouver residents right now, this is major...have you guys seen the news with Vancouver's health care? It's literally in crisis...There's a major lack of physicians and care for patients...https://bcmj.org/editorials/evolving-crisis-primary-care

At some point one might also expect Horgan's NDP government to step in and stop all this online medical business as being a "private medical system" and not allowed. Right back to the days of Tommy Douglas. They did shut down some private clinics.

Just to make it clear....private clinics are not allowed in BC and have already been shut down...there are a few left (one on Cambie in Vancouver)and are in a continual battle with the gov't.

Thanks Bentley...i am sure they are within the guidelines and won't be crossing any barriers or laws, also don't believe they advertise as a private clinic

It's like a mom and pop shop trying to compete with Starbucks Tim Hortons and mcdonalds they have unlimited capital deep pockets lol Mean while DM They can't even get the app straight let alone having a team of doctors lined up and nurses to build a team it's a huge flop in the making

The market has pass it's verdict on it's confidence in management. I see a reverse split coming, they may say they will not do it...but some bs story about market conditions will be made up to justify it.

Rcent jugement of BC court of appeal gives the right to stay open to private clinic and continue to offer services as they have done for the last 20 years. Plenty of them in the Vancouver Area... Telus, Clearpoint, Aquarius... Raz
