RE:RE:re: Could DOC be nextI was on the Telus conference call this morning. It seems to me that they decided to buy Lifeworks because they believe that mental health in the work place is going to grow. They also like the fact that Lifeworks has a footprint in many parts of the world.
My personal opinion is that Lifeworks approached Telus about getting bought out. lifeworks has been loosing a lot of clients lately and a lot of their top personal have left. some have even come over to DOC. Telus has also struggled with their healthcare division. Hopefully for them this is a win win situation.
DOC has been a thorn in the side for Lifeworks. They bid on many of the same contracts and DOC has taken a large share of them. I feel that eventually Telus will buy DOC just to get them out of the way or before another company such as Sun Life decides to buy DOC. Sun Life is growing their telehealth division just like Telus is. Karen is doing it right. She is increasing her sales team. right now its all about sales sales and sales. Profits will follow before Q4.
