Can anyone please explain...??

So the production facility is at the east coast and the 3PL logistics partner on the west coast of the US. The not existing supply chain has to ship for export the goods to california? Or is in california arriving semi finished products for production at the east coast? Why do they need a 3 PL logistics partner 2900 miles away from the production facility? What will the shipping, storage and so on cost for this nonsense?

Please help, also with the bs of value building in the last 7 years. I dont get it. Please explain.
