RE:Moving to DenouementRussia's 3 day war was an absolute failure. They cannot take Ukraine without many more months of heavy losses. In the end at best they would hold a country razed to the ground full of active resistance. Given Russia's leadership believe that it's do or die time for Russia, they will escalate things to try to force a favorable settlement in which they can try to claim some victory.
Russia cannot stand their reduced role in the world and will do whatever they can to shake things up with the threat of nuclear war.
KUB is still worth a little more than what it is trading at but the value difference will shrink the longer this draws out.
