Taranis purchased a 100% interest in an exploration project that holds fantastic exploration upside. When you find a jewel like this, our approach is to throw everything you have at it to make it into a mine for our shareholders. Our CEO, John Gardiner has been doing this for almost 40 years in North America with major mining companies, and now Taranis. At Thor, we have over 250 drill holes in a near-surface epithermal deposit over 2km long that is valuable in itself. We started with nothing, and built the epithermal deposit from scratch. But, there is the ' Elephant' in the room. Deep penetrating geophysical surveys and geological modeling have shown there is something else below the epithermal deposit, and it is BIG - in fact it is over 4 km in length! It is only by gaining knowledge on our epithermal deposit were we able to identify the 'Elephant' and her two twins, Jumbo and Horton. Both of these latter targets have EM-37 anomalies that have never been explored, and they are believed to be diatremes that have originated from the 'Elephant', similar to the origin of the Thor epithermal deposit that shows obvious connections to the 'Elephant' . Sound exciting? You bet! Was it a slow, expensive process? Certainly!  |
