Mr. Christopher Anderson reports

XIMEN MINING CORP. INITIATES FIRST PHASE PROGRAM WITH ENERGY PLUG

Ximen Mining Corp. has signed its first battery contract with Energy Plug to install a 20-kilowatt-hour battery energy storage system (BESS) at Ximen's Kenville gold mine in Nelson, B.C.

"When we decided to enhance our clean energy efforts to support the Kenville gold mine, choosing Energy Plug was an obvious decision," said Christopher R. Anderson, president, chief executive officer and director of Ximen. "Energy Plug's innovative technology will seamlessly integrate into our current infrastructure, offering vital support to our energy systems and significantly advancing our progress towards achieving our net-zero emissions goals."

Earlier this year, Ximen entered into an agreement with Energy Plug for a comprehensive two-phase program aimed at generating clean electricity for its Kenville gold mine. This initiative will focus on harnessing renewable power sources, particularly solar and hydropower. In the first phase of this program, Energy Plug will provide and support the installation of a solar power-connected 20 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery system. This system will play a crucial role in mitigating blackouts and brownouts, significantly lowering Ximen's reliance on diesel, and advancing its commitment toward achieving net-zero emissions.

The second phase of the energy program is expected to include the installation of a 100 kWh BESS at the Kenville gold mine. The BESS will be designed to accommodate high-power-consumption equipment, including compressors and ventilation systems. Once installed, the BESS will allow Ximen to store energy during off-peak hours and supply it back during peak load periods, increasing the energy efficiency of the mine site, and reducing strain on the site's grid system.

"Energy Plug is committed to helping organizations of all sizes tap into battery storage technologies to support climate objectives and reduce energy costs," said Broderick Gunning, Energy Plug president and CEO. "We're pleased to be working alongside Ximen to deliver a clean energy program that will support its critical infrastructure and balance its energy supply with renewable energy sources, validating the important role of BESS for sustainable energy."
