Yes, WH can block the deal from happening if they can proceed to convert their preferred shares into ordinary shares. They can get BODs on who will scuttle the deal. Very easy-- not to mention getting

SB - 100% agree SG needs this - find it very hard to imagine they won't either give WH what they want or a concession to make up for it, possibly meaning a higher purchase price.

William Hill
I think that the NYX subsidiary has the intellectual property where William Hill's preference shares are located and they looked at this deal and realised they weren't going to get anything
