When you "Loan" something, you give it to someone else.

This is not what happens when Shares are Shorted.   When a broker "loans" your shares, your shares do not disappear from your account.   You can place an order to sell ...more

I believe that is incorrect.  They aren't printing any shares - they are loaning out existing ones.  An analogy I'd use is if you go to the bank, your money/cash is not there - they ...more

It's a Win Win, no matter which way share price goes.

Of coarse I would prefer up, but since company is actively buying back, buying back at lower share price is a WIN.    Shorts, do your thing..... I can wait because I'll be collecting ...more
