thank you for your wise thoughts and comments. i also voted no. to take on more dept for a company like wfe with good earnings and little dept makes little sense. this would be  fiscally insane.

Voted against the takeover.  In this environment it is better to have low debt and a focused program as WFE has.  Also once gas comes back, the Kaybob asset will be a good investment.  ...more

I based my decision on the fact that I believe greater longterm value will be realized by having Westfire remain a single entity with a lessor reliance on NGAS prices.  NGL's are also getting ...more

  Terms of vote required to approve this deal Guide - 66.67% majority WestFire - 50% + 1 voting share majority   The difference, is because Guide is being takenover.

Well according to Canadian Insider, Sprott controls 13m shares voting and 15m shares convertible (which they'll probably exercise.) There's 67m total shares oustanding... Now there's still ...more

I think that most people recognize that this is exactly what is happening, and since Sprott is a major shareholder they can play lots of games influencing the share price of both companies.  ...more
