RE: Just Say No - HLDalongtime

RE: Just Say No - HLDalongtime I no longer hold HLD, but in response to your PM, I'll add my $.02 I would not trust Michal Thornton. Your welfare is not one of his motivations, especially since he doesn't even have that albatross of fidicuary responsibility to deal with anymore. Long ago, when he was the CEO, I questioned him on a number of isses relating to the original vote to take the Co public. I doubted the claim of the "94 to 100% positive vote" and asked questions relating to methodology, scrutiny, etc. I had voted to wind up the Company and couldn't understand why so many would continue having faith in what I considered to be incompetant management. His reply was to threaten me with a lawsuit (using Co. lawyers no less!). I took offence to this bullying tactic and challenged him to proceed, but never heard from him again. That is until these personal email messages started showing up with his insider take-over spam. Since he's no longer in active management or a director, where did he get these personal addresses? He refused to provide shareholder contact information to me when I indicated I wanted to poll shareholders on their original vote..(I'd still like an audit of that). I think that if the truth be known, the real vote was to sell off the assets at fair market value as provided for in the original offering memorandum. Had that happened, everyone (except perhaps "management" - and I use that term loosely) would have been better off. You original investors that have stuck with this gong show for so long deserve better. You are absolutely correct in your belief that they are grabbing the baton right before the finish line. I've already dumped this pig and took my losses, but I truly wish you all luck in defeating this grab for your assets. Unfortunately, I think unitholder apathy will likely prevail again unless you can successfully get access to the same unitholder contact information that "others" seem privy to. Good luck!
