Mr. D. Neil Briggs reports
PLAYFAIR MINING UPDATES GREY RIVER DRILL PROGRAM
Playfair Mining Ltd. is providing an update on the progress of the diamond drilling program under way on its 100-per-cent-owned high-grade Grey River tungsten deposit in Newfoundland under the supervision of consulting geologist James Harris, PGeo, a qualified person under NI 43-101 guidelines. Four large-diameter HQ holes have been completed to date on the main No. 10 vein. All four holes have been logged, cut and samples shipped for analysis. A further four large-diameter HQ holes are planned for the main No. 10 vein and six large-diameter HQ holes will be drilled on the No. 6 vein.
The purpose of the drilling on the main No. 10 vein is to provide sufficient data, along with Playfair's surface channel and bulk sampling completed last year, and ASARCO's historic surface and underground sampling, to allow calculation of an NI 43-101 compliant resource on this deposit. Playfair's drilling was designed by Roscoe-Postle and the holes are planned to provide new information by their location midway between ASARCO's drill holes rather than merely twinning the old drill holes.
