Thursday will forecast the future. In terms of growth in share price over the next three months, 48 cents per share (a record)versus 42 cents a year ago and compared to analysts forecast of 45 cents will be satisfactory but not create much market stir. 49 or 50 cents plus optimism in future results will kick start a share price increase.
Short sales continued to rise to over 700,000 until the last two weeks when they subsided slightly. I continue to believe short sellers are controlling daily openings and closings, especially in the MOC trading. What will it take to persuade them to cover their short positions?
