Puma Exploration Inc.: 3.5 Metres of Massive Sulphides Grading 195 g/t Ag, 1 g/t Au, 1.8% Zn and 2.1% Pb on the Henry Deposit
RIMOUSKI, QUEBEC, Aug 22, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) --
Puma Exploration (TSX VENTURE: PUM) has received results from its most recent drilling program at the Henry deposit on the Nicholas-Denys property in New Brusnwick. Drill hole F06-12 intercepted 3.5 metres of massive sulphides grading 195 g/t Ag, 1 g/t Au, 1.8% Zn and 2.1% Pb. The mineralized zone was encountered at a vertical depth of 35 metres at a location approximately 5 metres under one of the underground galleries that was excavated during the 1970's.
During the summer of 1970, underground exploration work consisting of a decline and two 30 metre deep exploration galleries was carried out at the Henry deposit located 2.5 kilometers west of the Shaft and Hache deposits. No mining activities were performed except for the access excavations and subsequent exploration resulting in a resource calculation. Drill holes F06-10 and F06-11 were drilled to intersect the 3 metres wide galleries and encountered massive sulfides in the walls, 50 cm and 2 metres thick, containing 139.9 g/t Ag and 231.7 g/t Ag and 1.7 g/t Au and 1.6 g/t Au, respectively. These drill holes establish that the mineralization is probably thicker than the estimated thicknesses used in calculating the original resource estimate and the information is useful in localizing the exact position of the underground galleries.

Similar values, indicating a considerable amount of silver and gold mineralization were obtained from muck samples during the 1970's underground exploration work. The best underground muck sample results graded between 113 g/t Ag and 406 g/t Ag and 0.7 g/t Au and 2.5 g/t Au.

The potential of the Henry deposit has not been satisfactorily explored. Underground exploration has so far been limited to a total depth of 30 metres and the longest underground gallery is only 130 metres long, even though drilling has established mineralization over a strike length of at least 550 metres.
These three holes completes Puma's initial exploration program on the Nicholas-Denys property. Results to date have clearly defined three important deposits, the Shaft, Hache and Henry deposits.
Assays were performed by ALS Chemex in Val d'Or, using atomic absorption and ICP. The contents of this press release were prepared by Marcel Robillard, Geologist and NI-43-101 Qualified Person.
