newsHalifax, NS February 08, 2007 FSC / Press Release ACADIAN GOLD PROVIDES UPDATE ON SCOTIA (ZINC-LEAD) MINE Halifax, Nova Scotia CANADA, February 08, 2007 /FSC/ - Acadian Gold Corporation (TSX - VX: ADA), announced today that progress continues to be made on all activities pertaining to the planned Q1-2007 start-up of the Scotia Mine (zinc-lead). Negotiations are continuing with respect to the planned debt financing, and this is now in an advanced stage. Documentation to support the application for the Industrial Approval Permit to commence operations is in the final stages of review by the Nova Scotia Department of Environment and Labour and the Company is confident it will be forthcoming shortly. The refurbishment of the mill is well advanced and is on schedule for the planned start-up in late February - early March 2007. Will Felderhof, President and CEO, stated "Although the planned debt financing and Industrial Approval Permit are slightly behind schedule, we remain confident of a Q1-2007 start-up of the Scotia Mine."
