RE: Tech ComincoTech at one time was contemplating a small Cu smelter in St Lucia for imported Cu Conc. Why not Dominican Republic (DR) for GMI, etc Cu Conc? GMI Ni Ore production hold-up awaiting full DR tax exemptions for GMI FeNi tolled from high grade GMI Ni Ore via Xstrata's 85% DR's 15% Falcondo FeNi reduction-refining plant, with ample capacity for substantial GMI Ni Ore. GMI FeNi production should begin well before Cu Conc production.
