repost of Amorak for firebug and airmaxBigdog, sorry man, it's just way too much fun to get these folks all wound up. When there's nothing going on with RVX, it's just entertainment. They're all on ignore for now but every now and then a little dose of wingnut prattle is just the ticket for me. And by the way, if there is anybody here who would like to blame me for what they write, you'd better adjust your thinking a little. That's like the people who said that 9/11 was the USA's fault. It may be my responsibility that I'm disliked by some of these people but I don't put words in their mouths. They're on their own in that department. And I'm completely content to be disliked by these folks, wouldn't want any of them in my life. Except maybe collinsc, she's probably interesting and certainly not mean and vulgar like the others.
And bigdog, I agree with your advice for everybody to relax. Your advice causes a little problem for some folks though, because it makes it sound like you know something they don't. It's what caused coorsman to go off in the first place and his nonsense about that is ultimately why I gonged him. But whatever details you might have aren't important to me though, don't need it.
I've never posted the "best" of the information I've heard. I wouldn't want anybody to think that I have highly illegal, for-somebody-else's-eyes-only, go-to-jail, piss-off-coorsman type of information, would I? Most of what I've heard turned out to be worthless anyway, timelines for press releases, who's in town, where's DM today, the buyout timing, the standstill agreement that stood still, so still it died unannounced, not even an obituary. Oh, we may all get a nice warm fuzzy feeling when we glean some small scrap of accidently-leaked-on-purpose bit of information that miraculously supports our hopes but the real comfort is in the science, who developed it, how it was developed and who's supporting it now. I don't need anything else. I'll wait and then, bang, one day, it's all over.
But what about this forum? What could it be?
The market has proven time and again that it places no value on any news other than news of a buyout. Microdosing, for example, forget about it, worthless for the share price. So that leaves this forum useless, really, as far as influence on share price is concerned. Rather than thinking that this forum might have value as a source of leaked RVX information, information that won't affect the market anyway, I think it's real value could lie somewhere else.
And Bull8888, bless you man, I understand your frustration with this forum, but it's happening on this one, not the private one. This is the one that speaks to the owners of millions of shares. This is the one that gets investors involved in the RVX thought processes, this is it. I'd be happy to drop out of sight and wait for my money. It'll happen. But this forum's existence, at the least, is very confirming to many shareholders, so if I can be helpful in that, I'm ok with that. I've got a winner with this. I know it. I already have a nice piece in the bank because of it. But let's see it through, bring it on home. What can we do here?
This forum, in my opinion, could start communicating expectations. We can't, or shouldn't, forget that we shareholders own RVX. The shareholders who read this forum own a lot of RVX, maybe a quarter to half of the retail market shares, those shares not held by insiders or institutions. Our shares are for sale to the pharmaceutical industry. Why isn't there a greater realization that this forum is the only place where such a large group of shareholders can express their views to the RVX management, the pharmaceutical industry and to the market? Better, what about collective action, like don't sell your shares into a market controlled by traders. If the shareholders on this forum held their shares, the price would go up. We have that many shares and we have that much influence.
Instead of crying and whining about today's trading and share price, the machinations of FIMAT and The Traders, the lack of news, etc, why aren't we selling our expectations to the RVX management, board and the pharmaceutical industry?
Here's the argument. NexVas will work, or it will not work, there is little middle ground on that. NexVas therefore has huge value or it does not, there is probably no middle ground on that either. However, the chances are very high that NexVas will work as hoped. Otherwise, it's pretty safe to assume that Shah, Rader, Barter, Newton, Genest and the rest would not be interested. It's also safe to assume that UBS would have absolutely no service to offer RVX unless it was determined by UBS that RVX has something of value to offer to the pharmaceutical industry. After all, for UBS it's not like promoting a stock to a wide variety of potential buyers. There are only a half dozen legitimate buyers for RVX. UBS's work would be finished in an hour if those pharmas weren't interested.
How do we know the pharmas are interested? It is their responsibility to be interested. They must look at it, hard. Well, you might ask, why aren't they jumping all over it? What would that look like? Are they all going to jump up and down like a bunch of kindergarten kids in a Dairy Queen? Nope. They're going waffle, connive, cast doubt, walk away, walk back, everything in the book to get it as cheaply as they can. But at the last minute, as the prize slips away, who will step forward? Somebody will win this and they'll justify it by the quality of the RVX team and the team's belief that NexVas will work, the importance of the technology and its potential market value.
So we have a situation where we must assume that RVX, UBS, the pharmas, Shah, Rader and all the rest believe that NexVas will work. There is no other reasonable explanation and that explanation is further supported by the method of discovery. But these folks are like us in one critical way, they don't know for sure whether NexVas will work or whether it will not work and these two posibilities are mutually exclusive scenarios. It's impossible for them to know for sure. And yet here they are, all working together, putting their reputations on the line, using their very valuable time to work with RVX. Their presence tells us what their beliefs are and since their beliefs are aligned with our hopes then we can safely follow them.
So here's the point. Because none of these players can know for sure whether NexVas will work, but because we know that they all think it has a very high chance of working, then we have a rare occurrence in the market where we know what the insiders know. Sure, they have details we don't have, like the state of bidding or negotiations, but the core argument, we know what they know. The insiders, the advisory board and the pharmas all think that this has a very good chance of working.
And they know this as well: if it works it's worth a lot, both now and later. And since we know they believe that, then so must we! NexVas could generate sales of $30 to $50 billion per year, over, say, 20 years. The higher number would work out to be a trillion dollars, a thousand billion. Because we own it and because we know the value of what we own, we want $2 billion of that trillion, 0.2%, minimum.
So instead of sitting passively by and wishing that RVX would hit $20 this week or whining about traders and thinking about short positions, why aren't we, as a group of informed owners who fully understand what we own, why aren't we making a much different noise? Why aren't we making our expectations known to RVX, UBS and the pharmas and to the rest of the market? Why aren't we telling everybody who reads this forum, "Let's start at $2 billion USD, shall we?" We don't really want to talk about anything less. It's our responsibility to ourselves to make this known. Stop being passive and reactive. Be proactive. Hold your stock and tell people why.
I want $75 minimum for this. We want $75 minimum for this. And it's high time that the market, RVX, UBS and the pharmas all understand that we know that they think it's worth that much and that we expect to get it.
We expect $75, minimum. Make it known. Is that hyping? Pumping? Promotion? Yes it is, but it's based on very realistic expectations. We've got something very valuable to sell. Make it known. Sell the argument.
Pfizer just shut down an operation that they paid almost that much for, in 2003 dollars. They set the price. We expect it.
$75, make it known. And relax. And if you want to see RVX stuff on this board instead of nonsense, put these wahoos on ignore. This thing's in the bag. Start acting like it.
And ssouci, just buy it and put it away. Junk the tea leaves
