RE: Concerns about MicrosoftYou read about the recent judgement in Europe regarding them ? I just can't get it ,. I mean here we have a software developer creating software which not only oversees the basic operation of a PC (like the user interface) but also hosts the most essential features permitting compatibility on all levels and here we are with people putting such compatibility into question... Apparently (if I remember well) the issue previously revolved around performance... Even a dimwit like myself knows that if you use a bulky programming language using so much memory (with lengthy compilation time etc) you'll get only a fraction of the performance you get with assembly (programs run several orders of magnitude faster with minimised memory requirements in assembly). As for the rest , (if my memory of the issue in question is right) the other software developers don't seem to have all those problems once trying to get onto the NET or once trying to use an in house application supplied by the system software and accessed by a routine call (or something of that order ). Thus my question is ; what is the fuss all about ?
