How low will ML go?

How low will ML go? Last time, ML made a round trip from around $5 to $9, and went down to about $4, before taking off to $10. Now, it is dropping again (from $10 to $8). How low can it go? $5? With the news that takeover is uncertain, ML is now in an uncertain situation itself. Any one has understood the situation well enough to know possible scenarios?
