So What?So UBS got a contract for $66 Million. Big Deal!
Let's put that in perspective: How much will it cost them to deliver that contract, and how much profit will they make? 30% margin? 20%? 10%? Will they lose money, maybe? Even if they make 30% (which is too high for such a low margin/competitive business), that's $19 million in profits before tax... or breaking it down per 95 million share, it equals 20 cents earning per share. Even if you use a P/E multiple of 40, that makes the shares worth $8.00... In reality... I think MUCH MUCH LESS! So let's not get carried away here too much!
I have a small client who's an upholsterer, and one day he bid and won a contract to re-upholster all the seats at the Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary... It was a BIG contract... but by the time he hired more staff, rented larger premises, etc., he lost money!!! Now he wishes he hadn't been awarded that contract!
So just because UBS was awarded a contract doesn't mean they'll make a penny! Good luck to them...
