It seems Dennison is practicing bad management and are offering a ridiculously low price for EFR’s ore, which they won’t accept. EFR wants to build its own mill. That is several years away.
According to this list, there are many decommissioned mills already existing in neighboring states. You can see the map on the link below.
Just as EFR has done with its mine, I’d like to see them reinstate an existing mill into operation. I would bet it is far less expensive and easier to restart an existing mill then to get approval for and build a new one. The distance is greater than it is to White Mesa, but if it could be more economical and offer EFR full control of the process, I’d like to see it done. I hope this is an option the Board is considering.
