RE: Valadium = Vaaldiam distances

RE: Valadium = Vaaldiam distances

To all:

As far as I can figure out, the town of Parantinga, which is close to where V:IIE has its claims, is about 256km from Cuiaba and is NE of Cuiaba. The town of Chapada dos Guimaraes ios about 46km from Cuiaba and is also NE of Cuiaba. That means the Paranatinga is a little over 200kms from Chapada.

This LINK will show the above Towns and Cities. Chapada is just outside and NE of Cuiaba.

https://www.brazilintl.com/states/matogrosso/maps_mt/map_mt.htm

Also note that some very important information is given in the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs in the News Release of May 21 which wasn't posted and that is...

+++++++++++++++

"...The Chapada mine which is 100% owned by Vaaldiam is renowned for the production of high value diamonds. Sales to date have returned an average sales value of US$408 per carat. This compares with the world average price of approximately US$85 per carat.

Ken Johnson, President and C.E.O. of Vaaldiam commented that "we are pleased to have recovered another large, high value diamond at our Chapada Mine. This diamond serves to solidify Chapada's reputation as a producer of large, gem quality diamonds that command premium prices in today's strong diamond market."

++++++++++++++++

Another thing that isn't mentioned here BUT what was briefly touched on in a televised interview with the Vaaldiam people (if I remember correctly) at the PDAC in March/08 was the fact that the OPERATING COSTS were closer to $20/tonne compared to $60+/tonne in Canada. That is the reason WHY pursuing diamond exploration and production activities are so attractive in Brazil.

Cheers,

LB
