Why so quiet
This resource estimate was a positive surprise.
Beforehand I calculated about the same tonnage as NGG and came up with ~0.4 moz at 7 g/t grade. That's what it looked like and I wasn't very enthustiastic. But 12 g/t overall grade really changed the game. Not only did the resource estimate more or less match the quantative expectations in analyst reports, but also raised the quality of ounces. I don't think many of us expected this good grades.
There's already enough resource to support a mine, and expanding should be easy. Both Northern and Southern holes ended up in strong mineralization and great underground targets just wait for drilling.
Imwauna is a narrow vein and sooner or later they have to go underground. I'm much happier mining 12 g/t than 8 g/t underground. It makes a big difference.
