fly in the ointment

fly in the ointmentdays turn into months...months into years....and still not a spec of profit to be seen.  I'm losing patience with good old Rog' and his ability to turn a profit in a business that should be a no-brainer cash cow.

From what I can determine, sales are rising at a fairly healthy 20% clip, outstanding shares are being retired at a good rate as well, although how many of those retired shares were simply them offsetting generous handouts of stock options I don't know.  The only fly in the ointment is their inability to make a profit...what gives??  Are costs spiralling out of control?  Are they becoming serial acquirers?  Does anyone have any sage words of wisdom that would convince a disgruntled shareowner to hang in there?

'Contacts' are a consumer staple and this company should be shining in the present economic atmosphere.  Colour me "not impressed!"
