RE: Why did Inverness buy Biosite and not RBM???

RE: Why did Inverness buy Biosite and not RBM???Good point but 2 years outdated what with Nt probnp being sold by Roche and Flu being sold by 3M.
The following occurred to me last night; What say, at some point, when hospitals that acquire the RAMP 200 system from both partners for the cardiac and infectious diseases have 2 identical looking machines sitting in their lab and start asking for a consolidation;;;;;then things will heat up with buyout offers. Also, once either partner realizes the huge market potential then, at that point, RBM becomes a valid takeover target.
But this discussion has come up before and nada.  At this point it all comes down to sales.
