Fraser Lakes showings

Fraser Lakes showingsFirst of all, RedRose.  Just because in the Athabasca Basin they are mining high-grade deposits does not mean that it is impossible and/or uneconomic to mine lower grade deposits.  In fact, the Athabasca U deposits are unusually high grade.  Deposits currently being mined in other countries are not even remotely as high grade as the Athabasca showings.  Most are lower than 1% U3O8 for mining grade (and often are only about 0.1% U3O8).  Just look up the Australian deposits, Rossing deposit in Namibia, and the Rozna U deposit (avg grade 0.24%)

As for being far from roads, etc.  They aren't probably as far as you think from roads, etc.  First of all, the showings are only about 50 km from the Key Lake mine/mill complex.  They are even closer to the nearest roads, etc.

Also, keep in mind these are surface showings, and that they are hosted within basement rocks, which decreases the cost of mining quite significantly compared to mining an underground sandstone hosted deposit (which typically requires freezing of the rocks prior to mining the ore).  Therefore, it can be economic to mine such a deposit at a much lower grade.

If you don't like the riskiness of U exploration, why are you investing in it?
