RE: John Helmer article (Moscow)

RE: John Helmer article (Moscow)What a marvellous article and post!

It should be clear to each of you that Mordashov is now very much between a rock and a hard place. I think the bear's tail is already singed and about to get badly burned if we and the institutions just hang together. Solidarity in purpose and the patience to hold tight, not sell, and watch the days fall off the calendar while we do so are all IMO in our excellent best interests. Learn to say "NYET!" to Kingshare, Lybica, Severstal, and all other toadies as many times as it takes. Time is very much on our side. With the passage of each day the likelihood of HRG staying public increases. Remember that first $0.18 and then $0.22 were supposed to be fair and generous offers. What credibility do Mordashov and his lacky BOD at HRG have left? Why did they hire goons for the AGM? What are they afraid of, and why?

On another matter, there are a number of us on this forum whose first language is not English and who cannot thus be expected to be as fluent as a native speaker. This in no way diminishes their contributions; indeed, they are and continue to be most welcome. What I would suggest to all, if there is a post you need clarification on, is to politely let the author know what aspects of his or her post you are having difficulty with, or to perhaps post in their native language in the hopes that someone else can render a better translation. I think it does none of us good to make  cheap and petty comments about someone else's language or other abilities. Yes, we should all aspire to and strive for clear and thoughtful communications. Nevertheless I know that, had I to post in French or some other language with which I have passing familiarity, the results would no doubt confuse or even amuse some of my readers. But the best among them would recognize and respect my efforts.
