I was told the same on Zaruma. They indicated  to me in the past correspondence their gold assets were too low of a grade underground  and  short mine life which I think is pretty hard to believe if the company is really interested in acquiring copper projects given the multiple satellite deposits in the region.  The project here could be immediately producing for peanuts and uses cheaper Mexican labor.

My guess the real reason for the lack of interest  here in Zaruma's/Constellation's bankrupt concession is the company  still wants to primarily maintain its gold identity in its  long term plan and this concession would skew the balance of revenue over to copper once Copperwood becomes developed and I don't think the company wants to spin off its copper assets..

If this is the case that leaves little left to choose from if they are interested in potential acquisition candidates that are immediately producible. Century Mining only comes to mind with somewhat similar profile to El Valle.

Of course there are decent potential companies but nothing near the construction phase and value priced.
