RE: history
RE: historyCIBC recommended their clients to tender their shares during the last takeover attempt by Severstal. They also provided investment banking services to High River at the time. Don't know if they still are. So I'm not surprised to see CIBC at the top of the list of down-closers. Do you think it's possible that the HRG shares belonging to CIBC's clients are being used by to manipulate the sp?
Also, the TSE should make a share count to see how many shares the minority shareholders own presently before they approve the pp. If the minority shares now are more than they were at the time right after the takeover attempt, then where are the extra shares coming from? Since I believe the minority shareholders have been doing more buying than selling due to the much higher gold price and stronger quarterly results by HRG since that time, then the extra shares can only come from those who are presently manipulating the sp. If the pp is approved, then the shares may be used by the manipulators to cover up their illegal activities.
